Methodist Debakey Cardiovasc J. 2022 Mar 14;18(2):4-16. doi: 10.14797/mdcvj.1078. eCollection 2022.ABSTRACTRestrictive cardiomyopathy (RCM) includes a heterogeneous group of diseases that cause increased myocardial stiffness, leading to impaired ventricular relaxation and severe diastolic dysfunction. Given that it is the least common type of cardiomyopathy, it can be a diagnostic challenge due to its varied pathogenesis, clinical presentation, and diagnostic evaluation. In this review, we provide an overview of different etiologies of RCM and examine the diagnostic and treatment approaches for various types.PMID:35414858 | PMC:PMC8932380 | DOI:10.14797/mdcvj.1078
