Ivabradine and Atrial Fibrillation: A Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials

In conclusion, we found that both large and small cumulative doses of ivabradine were associated with an increased incidence of AF, and the effect was more marked in the LVEF>40% subgroup. Nevertheless, ivabradine therapy is beneficial for the prevention of postoperative AF. Furthermore, ivabradine may be effective in controlling the ventricular rate in patients with AF, although more RCTs are needed to support this conclusion.
