Microvascular remodeling following skin injury

ConclusionThe superficial vascular skin plexus showed enhanced visibility already ≈1 h after the skin trauma. Morphological remodeling in the nutritive papillary capillaries– dilation and enlongation after ≈24 h – facilitate increased O2 supply.
