Pembrolizumab-Induced Parsonage-Turner Syndrome

Parsonage-Turner syndrome is a rare and new immune-mediated adverse event resulting from the increasing use of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICPIs). Patients who describe motor weakness or neuropathy while on treatment with ICPIs should be evaluated for nerve conduction deficits. Early diagnosis with an optimal clinical evaluation with the use of electrodiagnostics such as EMG and nerve conduction studies and imaging can allow for improved care and recovery in affected patients.
