Excision Margin and Survival in Patients with High-Risk, Primary Cutaneous Melanoma: A Retrospective Study Based on Surveillance Epidemiology and End Result (SEER) Database

Conclusions: Wider excision margin greater than 2 cm did not provide any additional therapeutic benefits compared to narrow excision margin between 1 and 2 cm. A 2-cm margin is adequate and safe for high-risk primary melanoma of the skin thicker than 2 mm.Dermatology
