ConclusionsThere are few economic evaluations of deprescribing interventions focused on community-dwelling elderly. Although results varied across settings, time horizon and intervention complexity, most interventions were cost-effective according to the WHO threshold. Deprescribing interventions are promising from an economic viewpoint, but more studies are needed.Key messagesThere is a paucity of economic evaluation studies conducted on deprescribing interventions of community-dwelling elderly.Research suggests that most interventions are cost-effective or even dominant compared to usual care.
