Effect of BMI on Central Arterial Reflected Wave Augmentation Index, Toe-Brachial Index, Brachial-Ankle Pulse Wave Velocity and Ankle-Brachial Index in Chinese Elderly Hypertensive Patients with Hemorrhagic Stroke

In recent years, with the aging of the Chinese population, the proportion of elderly hypertension has increased significantly. According to relevant epidemiological data, the prevalence of hypertension in the elderly in China is as high as 40 –60%.1 Hypertensive hemorrhagic stroke is one of the most serious complications of hypertension, and it usually occurs in the elderly. The main reason is that the wall of small arteries in the brain of hypertensive patients has glassy or fibrous degeneration, which reduces the elasticity of the bl ood vessel wall and causes local vasodilation.
