Association between Circulating Protein C Levels and Incident Dementia: The Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities Study

Conclusion: Circulating protein C has an inverse association with incident dementia independent of established risk factors, including stroke. Our results suggest studying anticoagulants in addition to coagulants can increase our understanding on the relationship between hemostasis and dementia.Neuroepidemiology
