Convolutional neural networks to identify malformations of cortical development: a feasibility study

Malformations of cortical development (MCDs) are a common cause of developmental delay [1-3] and refractory epilepsy [4, 5]. Although most MCDs can be detected by neuroradiologists using moderate-to-high quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) [2], the process is time consuming and requires considerable expertise.
