Examining the one-two punch of malaria drugs

(University of Houston) The first-line treatment for deadly malaria is a combination of two drugs. But sometimes those drugs fight each other. A University of Houston researcher is examining their relationship to improve their results and stay a step ahead of the malaria-carrying parasite, a strong survivor, which continues to outsmart new drugs.
