NIH experts call for accelerated research to address concurrent HIV and COVID-19 pandemics

(NIH/National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases) The COVID-19 pandemic is affecting people with or at risk for HIV by interfering with HIV treatment and prevention services, and by threatening individual health. This message comes from a review article co-authored by NIAID director Anthony S. Fauci, M.D., and colleagues published in the Journal of Infectious Diseases.
