FATTY liver disease - a serious condition characterised by a build-up of fat in the liver - is either alcoholic or non-alcoholic related. According to William Alazawi, Professor of Hepatology at Queen Mary University of London, there are five warning signs non-alcoholic liver disease has progressed to a late stage.
