ConclusionMost patients with symptomatic HHE can be managed successfully with a combination of medical, radiological and surgical treatments. Patients with diffuse lesions, late presentation, cardiac failure and type II histology have a poor outcome.Level of evidenceDiagnostic level IV. Therapeutic level IV.
