High genetic burden in 163 Chinese children with status epilepticus

Status epilepticus (SE) is a common neurological emergency with an annual incidence between 17 and 23 per 100,000 children (1). In 2015, the revised guideline recommended by the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) defined SE as continuous seizures or a seizure lasting> 5  minutes without consciousness recovery (2,3).
