Early Effects of Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Leaflet Repair for Tricuspid Regurgitation: First-in-Human Experience with Computed Tomography

The feasibility of transcatheter tricuspid valve repair (TTVr) with the TriClip system (Abbott Structural, Menlo Park, CA) has been demonstrated with safe and effective tricuspid regurgitation (TR) reduction and improvement in quality of life (1). The TriClip device reduces TR via approximation of the tricuspid leaflet edges to enhance coaptation in a similar fashion of MitraClip device, but with a modified delivery system. Mitral annulus remodeling has been described after MitraClip treatment (2), but little is known about the TriClip effects on the geometry of the tricuspid annulus.
