What are the effects of quarantine for individuals traveling from a country with a declared COVID19 outbreak?, Cochrane Clinical Answers

Reviewers conducted a rapid review of evidence on individuals travelling from a country with a declared COVID ‐19 or severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) outbreak. Reviewers identified two observational studies that focused on travellers returning from countries with a declared COVID‐19 outbreak (from Wuhan, China, to Japan; and from UK, Spain, and Turkey to Greece); approximately 2% to 6% of return ees tested positive for COVID‐19. In addition, reviewers identified indirect evidence from two observational studies and two modelling studies based on data collected during SARS outbreaks. Reviewers rated the certainty of all evidence as very low.
