Cutaneous oxalosis presenting as subcutaneous nodules in a dialysis patient
A 52-year-old female presented with non-tender, firm subcutaneous nodules along both shins that had been ongoing for 2 years (Supplementary Figure S1). She had undergone bariatric surgery for intestinal bypass 36 years earlier and had been on hemodialysis for 8 years. The kidney ultrasound revealed multiple renal stones at the time of dialysis initiation. She has no evidence of cardiomyopathy, hepatic dysfunction, or retinopathy. The plain f ilms of bilateral lower extremities demonstrated multiple calcified nodules about 3–5 mm in diameter (Supplementary Figure S2).
