Mature Student - Wow what a challenge!

Well, I am applying for medicine in 2015. I am 30 years old and as a bit of background I have 5 A Levels from school back in 2001. Non of them are science based but I did get A's in them. I did not got to university but have had a successful 10 year career and more recently have been working for a medical devices company which has been the deciding factor in me pursuing this medicine degree. I am about to commence A Level studies. I was interested to hear from Plymouth University today that my previous A Levels count for nothing whatsoever. To quote them, 'the A Levels that we consider must not have been taken more than 2 years previous'. I was previously thinking I may only need to do Biology and Chemistry at A Level but since this discussion with Plymouth have registered to do Biology, Chemistry and Physics and am now debating between Psychology or Maths. I am interested in anybody's thoughts opinions. I am determined to succeed, I am already working currently as a Healthcare Assistant as well as volunteering 4 times a week at my local hospital. I am also looking at UKCAT past papers etc and understand my need to do well at that but I was a high achiever at school, apply myself well to study etc so I know I can do what is needed, just hoping that being a mature student is not going to put people off regardless of the rest. Happy for any thoughts given :-)
