102 * surgical ventricular restoration for ischaemic cardiomyopathy: is there any difference in outcome between anterior and posterior dilatation?
Conclusions: SVR is an effective treatment for ischaemic cardiomyopathy. Despite posterior aneurysms presenting with larger left ventricles and a higher proportion of severe MR, early and long-term outcome after SVR seem to be unaffected by aneurysm location.
