Re: Reece JC, Dangerfield DC, and Coombs CJ. End ‐to‐side Somatic‐to‐autonomic Nerve Grafting to Restore Erectile Function and Improve Quality of Life After Radical Prostatectomy. Eur Urol 2019; 76(2):189‐196

AbstractA fascinating research on management of erectile dysfunction (ED) after radical prostatectomy (RP) was reported. They described the efficacy of end ‐to‐side somatic‐to‐autonomic nerve grafting on restoring erectile function (EF). Finally, this technique improved EF for 71% (12/17) ED patients after RP, while 29% were failed. Actually, Souza Trindade et al. has previous investigated this technique to improve EF after RP, however, 40% was failed [1]. Meanwhile, compared with the control rats, end‐to‐side neurorrhaphy also presented significantly lower EF after donor somatic nerve impairment [2].
