Multiplex nested polymerase chain reaction targeting multiple genes for the detection of Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Chlamydia trachomatis in genitourinary specimens
Conclusions: The multiplex nested PCR protocol designed and employed in the present study may be used in the diagnosis and management of both symptomatic as well as asymptomatic cases of N. gonorrhoeae and C. trachomatis, particularly among high-risk groups.
