More than half of males with lupus report feeling depressed, receive little support

(Hospital for Special Surgery) HSS launched a nationwide survey to assess the needs of males with lupus. The researchers found that the illness has a significant impact on patients' physical and emotional health, yet they often do not receive support that could help them cope. More than 80% of respondents indicated that lupus limited their activities of daily living, mainly due to pain and fatigue.
