Rijuven CardioSleeve Turbocharges Any Stethoscope with ECG Capabilities
Rijuven, a Wexford, Pennsylvania company, will soon be offering its CardioSleeve stethoscope accessory in the U.S. thanks to an FDA clearance recently obtained by the company. The device attaches to just about any stethoscope and allows simultaneous auscultation along with 3-lead ECG recording. Both the audio and electrical activity of the heart is recorded and transmitted to compatible computers or smartphones via Bluetooth for real-time or historical analysis.
The device has a rechargeable lithium ion battery, is compact, and can be carried along with the stethoscope around the clinic.
