Self-collection of samples for HPV testing shows promise in detection of cervical cancer in Kenya

(University of North Carolina Health Care) A study by researchers at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill suggests that training women to self-collect genital samples to test for human papillomavirus, the causative agent of cervical cancer, can increase the coverage rates of cervical cancer screening.
