Academy for Eating Disorders Student Research Grants Application Deadline: January 12, 2015 The purpose of the AED Student Research Grant Program is to support innovative and cutting-edge research conducted by student members of the AED. In 2015, the AED will award up to two grants of $1,000 each to support any aspect of a student research project, including (but not limited to) participant payments, support staff salaries, and costs related to study assessments and/or database management. However, funds may not be used for travel or salary/stipend support for the awardee. Applicants must be AED student members, or a membership application must be submitted with the grant application. AED student members must be full-time students in a degree program, or physicians-in-training with interest or involvement in the field of eating and related disorders. Postdoctoral trainees and residents do not qualify for the AED Student Research Grant Program. Students may apply for either an AED Student Research Grant or an AED Travel Fellowship (see scholarship descriptions above), but not both during the same award year. Instead, students are encouraged to apply for these mechanisms in different years. Awardees will be honored during the Awards Convocation at the 2015 ICED.
