CONCLUSION: In summary, both stereotactic procedures are reliable and safe procedures for the placement of stimulating electrodes as well as the stimulation effect achieved. The logistical uncoupling of presurgical planning from surgical therapy emphasizes the benefits of the individualized stereotactic procedure.
