244 Ten-year fatal risk for cardiovascular disease (CVD) in psoriasis

Based on a score diagram established by the European Society for Cardiology (Conroy et al. Eur Heart J 24:987,2003) we determined the 10-year risk for cardiovascular (CV) letality in 85 (32 female, 53 male) psoriasis patients (pts) started on adalimumab treatment. Pts were recruited over 12 months. Gender, age, nicotine use (smoking), systolic blood pressure (SBP) and the ratio of total cholesterol/high density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol in blood served to establish the 10-year fatal risk. 39 patients were ≤ 47 years of age and 46 were 48-81 years old.
