Usefulness of Midodrine in Protein Losing Enteropathy
Protein losing enteropathy (PLE) is a highly morbid condition that is most commonly seen in Fontan failure (FF). While a subset of Fontan patients require heart transplant (HT) for systemic pump dysfunction, a number of patients require HT for refractory PLE in the setting of normal cardiac function.1
