The value of Free Androgen Index depends on the phenotype of polycystic ovary syndrome, one centre experience.

CONCLUSIONS: PCOS patients are not homogenous group in relation to FAI value. Patients with metabolic PCOS phenotype are characterized by two fold higher FAI values compared with reproductive PCOS phenotype.
