Request for Proposals to Pursue the Society for Research in Child Development Strategic Plan Please note that eligibility to apply requires a current SRCD membership Deadline: December 15, 2014 The Society is pleased to issue its sixth request for proposals for member-initiated research planning activities that address one or more goals of SRCD’s strategic plan. Prior competitions in 2008-2013 funded 23 diverse and creative projects that have benefited SRCD members in a number of ways. The deadline for submissions is December 15, 2014. SRCD’s Strategic Plan lists the following areas for attention: 1. Increase appreciation for the fact that an understanding of development requires the perspectives and methods of multiple disciplines. 2. Increase international perspectives on the study of child development. 3. Increase cultural and contextual diversity in all aspects of the study of child development. 4. Increase and strengthen communication of research findings to non-academic audiences (e.g., practitioners, parents, those responsible for developing and implementing educational and health policy) to promote their implementation. We seek proposals for projects that address one or more of these goals.  The size of awards will vary depending on the needs and goals of the proposed project, but are generally expected to range between $10,000 and $20,000.  Priority will be given to projects for which matching funds are ei...
