Vitamin K antagonists and changes in glomerular filtration rate in patients with atrial fibrillation

ConclusionsWe found that AF patients with VKA use did not have a worse eGFR evolution during FU than those not treated with oral anticoagulation. Patients treated with VKA with labile INR or likely to have poor anticoagulation control neither had a worse eGFR evolution. These Results suggest that instable INR might not be the main determinant of anticoagulant-related nephropathy.
