A Comprehensive Approach to Palliative Care Ethics

The subtitle of this book ( “A Complete Guide”) is a bold claim, but one upon which the author delivers. In excess of 500 pages, this volume is indeed “comprehensive.” The book is divided into five sections and 19 chapters. In most chapters, a case study is presented at the beginning, and at the end, the reader is brou ght back to the case for further analysis. This is followed by a list of key points with an up-to-date and comprehensive list of references. The target audience comprises “professionals already in the field who seek deeper grounding in the clinical dilemmas specific to palliative care, as well as those new to the field.”
