Bronchoalveolar lavage transcriptome and eicosanoid profiles reveal heterogeneity of lower airway inflammation in aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease (AERD)

Conclusions: We revealed endotypic heterogeneity of AERD asthma. Lipidomic signature of AERD (i.e. higher production of LTE4) is strongly linked with lower airway eosinophilia and can be observed only in a subset of patients with eosinophilic AERD phenotype.
