Construing the role of Proteasome Accessory Factor-C in fluoroquinolone resistance in pulmonary tuberculosis

Conclusion: The differential regulation of pafC gene was observed by quantitative real time PCR at RNA level and at protein level by immuno blotting using antibody against PafC. The clones overesxpressing PafC were subjected to comparative profiling of first line and second line anti-TB drugs. The data showed that PafC might have a probable role in drug efflux. The detailed results of the study will be discussed during the meeting.Future prospective: Validating the data by quantifying and comparing the pafC mRNA expression in the clinical isolates of sensitive as well as resistant pulmonary tuberculosis.
