Evaluation of the analgesic effects of duloxetine in burn patients: An open-label randomized controlled trial
Pain is one of nettlesome complications of burn injury. Insufficient control of the pain in burn-injured patients may result in chronic pain syndrome, paresthesia, dysesthesia and psychological disorders such as depression and post-traumatic stress disorder in long term. Despite the extensive use of analgesics such as opioids, acetaminophen and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and anxiolytics, effective management of the burn pain has remained a challenging problem [1].
