Decrease in uterine perforations with ultrasound image-guided applicator insertion in intracavitary brachytherapy for cervical cancer: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

CONCLUSION: Using postinsertion CT or MRI to detect the perforation, the rate of uterine perforation per insertion in patients who received US-guided intracavitary brachytherapy insertion is 90% lower than with un-guided insertion. PMID: 30333082 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
