7.2 High Times for Cannabis: Epigenetic Imprint and Its Legacy on Brain and Behavior

The reduced perception regarding risks associated with marijuana (Cannabis sativa), as well as the growing industry evolving around recreational and medical cannabis, has led to increased use of the drug, and is now used to a greater extent than cigarettes by adolescents. In this presentation, I will provide an overview of our findings regarding the vulnerabilities of the developing brain to cannabis exposure during particularly sensitive windows of development and its epigenetic legacy later in life.
