European Union, European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control. 05/2018 This 102-page document is the fourth annual report of the European Surveillance of Antimicrobial Consumption Network (ESAC-Net) published by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). It is based on antimicrobial consumption data from the community (primary care sector) and the hospital sector reported to ECDC for 2013 and 2014 by 28 European Union (EU) Member States and two EEA (European Economic Area)/non-EU countries (Iceland and Norway). An analysis of EU/EEA data from the last five years did not reveal any significant trend in the mean overall consumption. (PDF)
