Very smart. What would you suggest as a target for AI. My list Fix voice recognition Searching the EMR for pertinent history. Be able to produce a list of physicians working with the patient, and phone numbers (yeah, this sounds trivial, but our 300million dollar system can't do it). Create hanging protocols for CT/MR cases (again - should be trivial, but our systems can't do it). Create radiologists work schedules (current software clunky) Intelligently search the literature for pertinent articles regarding the patient you are working on. Current keyword searches produce 100's of articles, only 1 or 2 of which may be pertinent. Make it interactive ("No, HAL, I need MR appearance of sarcoidosis in the heart after steroid therapy, not all sarcoidosis of the heart") Be able to hack any paywall for the medical literature to make an article you need for patient care available immediately (partially joking here) You can see these are all areas where current systems purport to do what we n...
