Longtime Houston businessman, health care leader dies

A prominent Houston businessman who helped establish Baylor College of Medicine, the Harris County Hospital District and the city's public transportation system has died. Daniel C. Arnold died March 19, according to multiple reports. He had just turned 88 years old. The Houston Chronicle reports that he died from kidney cancer and was surrounded by family at his Houston home.  The native Houstonian was a graduate of the Kinkaid School and attended classes at Rice University and Princeton University…
