2016 August Krogh Distinguished Lectureship of the American Physiological Society Comparative and Evolutionary Section The 2016 August Krogh Distinguished Lectureship of the APS Comparative and Evolutionary Section sponsored by Novo Nordisk Foundation ($1,000 plus up to $2,000 travel reimbursement to the Experimental Biology meeting, complimentary registration to the meeting, and a complimentary ticket to the CEPS Dinner at the EB meeting) is awarded to a distinguished scientist who has made major and meritorious contributions to the scientific areas represented by the APS Comparative and Evolutionary Physiology Section. It is the most prestigious award of the section. The awardee will deliver an honorary award lecture at the EB Meeting and will be recognized at the Comparative and Evolutionary Physiology Section Dinner and Business Meeting at the EB Meeting. Members of the section choose the recipient of this award from the slate of nominations selected by the CEPS Steering Committee. The nomination packet should be submitted by the nominator, whose letter should state the basis for nomination with a synopsis of the nominee’s scientific contributions and can include supporting excerpts/statements (no more than 5) from other colleagues and trainees.  The nominee’s curriculum vitae should be current, listing honors or awards, positions, grants, or papers, current and past grant support, a list of trainees, and professional activities.
