Confusional arousal in moderate Alzheimer disease: a case description
Introduction: Patients with Alzheimer's Disease, besides cognitive problems, can also show many behavioral and psychological problems, which are known as BPSD (Behavioral and Psychological Symptom of Dementia). BPSD consists of sleep wake rhythm disorders, hallucinations, depressive mood, anxiety, odd behavior like wandering, restlessness, agitation, sexual disinhibition and cursing. Some studies highlighted that about 64% of patients with Alzheimer's presents with at leas tone of those symptoms at their first clinical evaluation.
