New chronic kidney disease audit published

(London School of Hygiene&Tropical Medicine) Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships, Clinical Commissioning Groups and primary care practices must all work together to improve outcomes for patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), according to the national Chronic Kidney Disease Audit published today. The Audit was commissioned by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) and conducted by the Informatica Systems, the London School of Hygiene&Tropical Medicine, UCL (University College London) and Queen Mary University of London.

CONCLUSIONS: The decrease in RI suggests a better resolution at primary care. The major improvement in the Basic Health Areas of reference (with RI reduced by more than 44%) coincides with the implementation of the ONP. Conclusions: Uremic patients show an enhanced expression of serum miR-421 as compared to healthy individuals.
