Thoracoabdominal asynchrony and paradoxical motion during cough and quiet breathing in middle stage amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
Conclusion: The presence of TAA and P+ in middle stage ALS indicates diaphragm impairment and increased thoracic effort. In this population, not only static respiratory function but dynamics chest wall measurements could be taken into account when monitoring disease progression.
