Retinal pigment epithelial atrophy after anti–vascular endothelial growth factor injections for retinal angiomatous proliferation

Conclusion:Retinal pigment epithelial atrophy developed in 36.6% during 12 months after anti-VEGF treatment for retinal angiomatous proliferation. The presence of refractile drusen at baseline was identified as a novel significant risk factor for RPE atrophy development.
