Call for Entries: American Society for Cell Biology Science Comic Strip Competition First prize $500 Second prize: $200 Third prize: $100 Application deadline: October 1, 2014 Results announced: November 1, 2014 Awards presented at the ASCB Meeting Show off your creativity and talent by entering into the ASCB Science Comic Strip Contest. Sketch, draw, design a funny moment, an interesting perspective, or any creative idea that pertains to science in comic strip format. Entries will be judged by a panel of ASCB representatives and will feature celebrity judges Jorge Cham, author of PhD comics and the PHD Movie 2: Still in Grad School Kickstarter Campaign, and Nik Papageorgiou, author of The Upturned Microscope. Who can participate? 1. This competition is open to members of the American Society for Cell Biology. Entrants must be members at the time of submission. 2. Only one entry per person is allowed. 3. The subject matter of competition entries is flexible but must be of relevance to researchers in cell biology. How do I submit? 1. Entrants must supply their name, address, e-mail address, and ASCB membership number on entry. 2. Submissions should be (21 x 9 cm 300 dpi) 3. Entrants should supply a concise title limited to 7 words 4. The deadline for entries is October 1, 2014
