Centralisation for resection of the pancreatic head: A comparison of operative factors and early outcomes during the evolving unit and tertiary unit phases at a UK institution
Conclusions Data from our series of 395 cases suggests that centralisation of pancreatic cancer services to a tertiary centre does result in improved patient outcomes. The benefits of a multi-disciplinary and specialist HPB service results in a high volume, high quality unit with improved patient outcomes.
