Persistent orofacial pain in a paget's disease patient: case report
A 76-year-old black female patient was referred to the clinic because of a 12 years history of persistent throbbing facial pain along a tinnitus sensation in the right ear. Previous investigation of these symptoms led to a diagnosis of Paget's disease with a 50% hearing loss. A hearing aid cleared the tinnitus sensation and the hearing deficit, but the throbbing pain persisted. Patient presented a healthy oral mucosa and an uneventfully panoramic radiograph. However, a cranial deformity was noticed.
