A Hikers Tale: Cytomegalovirus associated extensive transverse myelitis (P3.306)

Conclusions:This case highlights the importance of considering acute CMV infection in the differential of transverse myelitis. The patient received a course of oral steroids shortly before onset of symptoms which may have influenced the course of the illness and explained the lack of enhancement on MRI.
