Use of Abciximab and Heparin Can Safely Facilitate LVAD Implantation in Patients with Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia

We describe our strategy to use abciximab, glycoprotein IIb/IIIa receptor inhibitor, and heparin in patients who underwent LVAD implantation with HIT.
